The San Juan Symphony Presents Beyond the Concert Hall – Chamber Music Series Presents “Shakespeare: Sing Me A Scene”
The Chamber Singers collaborate with the Durango Arts Repertory Theatre troupe to perform best-loved scenes from Shakespeare, paired with songs that set these iconic texts to music. Plays include The Tempest, Romeo and Juliet, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth, Taming of the Shrew, and Hamlet, with songs composed by Ralph Vaughn Williams, Leonard Bernstein, Cole Porter, Sarah Quartet, and more.
